Die Session im Oktober wird eröffnet von ForteFlamenco.
Das Duo, bestehend aus Flamencotänzerin Yamuna Henriques und Pianistin und Konzertorganistin Kerstin Wolf, interpretiert Musik aus dem 17. Jahrhundert bis in die Gegenwart. Sie interpretieren klassische, spanische, lateinamerikanische und orientalische Musik. Yamuna
Henriques Wurzeln liegen im Flamencotanz, bei Kerstin Wolf in der klassischen Musik. Die Vision ihrer Arbeit ist die Verbindung ihrer künstlerischen Ursprünge. Die Künstlerinnen schöpfen aus einem umfassenden Repertoire. Yamuna Henriques löst sich dabei
vom traditionellen Flamenco und bezieht neue Elemente aus dem modernen, folkloristischen und klassischen Tanz mit ein. Kerstin Wolf erweitert ihr enormes barockes, klassisches, romantisches und zeitgenössisches Repertoire um die Musikkunst des Flamencos. Als erfahrene
Musikerin interpretiert sie den Flamenco in der Kombination mit Yamuna Henriques neu. Durch diese Impulse entstehen Improvisationen und Kompositionen. Im Anschluss können sich alle, die möchten, auf der Bühne in die Musik einbringen.

Die Welcome Music Session entstand aus der Idee, geflüchteten Menschen einen Ort zu geben, an dem sie den Alltag vergessen können und auch ohne Sprachkenntnisse Verbindungen zu anderen Menschen aufbauen können. Bei der Session sind Menschen mit und ohne
Fluchterfahrung willkommen. Wenn ihr Geflüchtete kennt, erzählt ihnen gern von der Session und unterstützt sie gerne dabei, in die Zinnschmelze zu kommen.

At the Welcome Music Session, people and music from all over the world come together every second Thursday of the month. It doesn’t matter whether you want to play music yourself or simply listen, clap along, or dance – everyone is welcome at the Welcome Music Session!
The October session will be opened by ForteFlamenco*. The duo, consisting of flamenco dancer Yamuna Henriques and pianist and concert organist Kerstin Wolf, interprets music from the 17th century to the present day. They perform classical, Spanish, Latin American, and Oriental
music. Yamuna Henriques’ roots lie in flamenco dance, while Kerstin Wolf’s are in classical music. The vision of their work is to connect their artistic origins. The artists draw from an extensive repertoire. Yamuna Henriques moves beyond traditional flamenco, incorporating new
elements from modern, folkloric, and classical dance. Kerstin Wolf expands her vast baroque, classical, romantic, and contemporary repertoire to include the musical art of flamenco. As an experienced musician, she reinterprets flamenco in combination with Yamuna Henriques.
Through these impulses, new improvisations and compositions emerge. Afterwards, everyone who wishes is invited to join in the music on stage.

The Welcome Music Session was created with the idea of giving refugees a place where they can forget everyday life and build connections with others even without language skills. People with and without refugee experience are welcome at the session. If you know refugees, feel free to
