Bei der Welcome Music Session kommen jeden 2. Donnerstag des Monats Menschen und Musiken aus aller Welt zusammen. Ganz egal, ob du selber spielen möchtest oder nur zuhören, mitklatschen oder tanzen möchtest: bei der Welcome Music Session sind alle willkommen!
Die Session im Februar wird eröffnet von dem Duo Meadow’s Fellows. Meadows’ Fellows ist ein Duo aus Hamburg, das aus folkloristischen Wurzeln, improvisierten Klangräumen und subtiler Elektronik einen eigenen, atmosphärischen Sound formt.
In einer Zeit, in der urbane Landschaften von Beton, und Hochbauten dominiert werden, widmen sich Meadows’ Fellows der Suche nach musikalischen Ausdrucksformen für die stille, beharrliche Kraft der Natur – für ihr Durchbrechen und Erblühen.
Meadows’ Fellows erschafft intime, zugleich weitläufige Klangwelten zwischen Tradition und Moderne.

Im Anschluss können sich alle, die möchten, auf der Bühne in die Musik einbringen.

Die Welcome Music Session entstand aus der Idee, geflüchteten Menschen einen Ort zu geben, an dem sie den Alltag vergessen können und auch ohne Sprachkenntnisse Verbindungen zu anderen
Menschen aufbauen können. Bei der Session sind Menschen mit und ohne Fluchterfahrung willkommen. Wenn ihr Geflüchtete kennt, erzählt ihnen gern von der Session und unterstützt sie gerne dabei, in die Zinnschmelze zu kommen.

At the Welcome Music Session, people and music from all over the world come together every second Thursday of the month.
It doesn’t matter whether you want to play music yourself or simply listen, clap along, or dance – everyone is welcome at the Welcome Music Session!
The February session will be opened by the duo Meadow’s Fellows. Meadow’s Fellows is a Hamburg-based duo that shapes its own atmospheric sound from folkloric roots, improvised
soundscapes, and subtle electronics.
At a time when urban landscapes are dominated by concrete and high-rise buildings, Meadow’s Fellows dedicate themselves to the search for musical forms of expression for the quiet, persistent power of nature—for its breaking through and blossoming. Meadow’s Fellows create intimate yet expansive sonic worlds between tradition and modernity.Line-up:

The Welcome Music Session was created with the idea of giving refugees a place where they can forget everyday life and build connections with others even without language skills. People with and without refugee experience are welcome at the session. If you know refugees, feel free to tell them about the session and support them in coming to the Zinnschmelze.
